§ 46-23. Collection by city.

  • (a)

    The municipality will collect residential refuse if placed in approved containers or bundles, not to exceed four in number, which shall be placed at the side of the street or other approved location after 12:00 noon of the day preceding the day scheduled for collection. Empty containers, excess containers and unacceptable items shall be removed from the street the same day that collection is made.

    (b)

    The municipality will not collect hot ashes, hazardous waste, garbage which has not been drained of excessive amounts of liquid, animal excrement, excavated earth, stones, bricks, broken concrete, asphalt, logs, stumps, or any loose materials not properly bundled.

    (c)

    The municipality will collect residential yard waste weekly from the first Monday of April through the fourth Monday of October. Approved containers and bundles must be placed at the side of the street on the day scheduled for refuse collection.
