Each applicant for registration shall apply to the police department for issuance
of a registration card and license for his bicycle. The registration card and license
shall be furnished by the city and shall have numbers imprinted or stamped thereon
in numerical order. The registration card shall state the date of issuance, the name
and address of the registrant, the date of purchase of the bicycle, the name and address
of the person from whom purchased, the make of the bicycle, the color and serial number,
together with other information the police department deems necessary or helpful in
the identification of bicycles. It is the duty of the owner to attach the license
to his bicycle in accordance with the directions of the police department and the
license shall remain permanently attached to the bicycle.
