§ 48-25. Repair by city; costs to be paid by owner of abutting premises.

  • (a)

    If the owner fails to repair or rebuild such sidewalk or curb within ten days after service of the notice provided for in section 48-24, the city manager shall report the same to the commission with the request that he be authorized to repair or rebuild the same. Upon receipt of any such report, the commission may determine to repair or rebuild the sidewalk and order the city manager to do all work required to accomplish that end.

    (b)

    If the owner fails to repair or rebuild such sidewalk within ten days after service of the notice provided for in section 48-24, the city manager or his designee shall direct that the same be rebuilt by the city, and the city shall do all work required to accomplish that end.
