§ 48-23. Owner of abutting property—Duty to maintain.

  • (a)

    It shall be the duty of the owner of property abutting any sidewalk in the city to keep the same in good repair and at all times in such condition that it will not constitute a hazard to pedestrians and others lawfully using said sidewalks.

    (b)

    A person in violation of subsection (a) of this section shall be responsible for a civil infraction and subject to the fines and penalties enumerated in chapter 30, dealing with commencement of civil infraction actions and establishment of a municipal ordinance violations bureau.
